San Francisco-Tucson Swap: Feyereisen for DeJulia Sunday, August 4th , 2086 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the San Francisco Friars and Tucson Toros finalized a trade today. San Francisco will send 25-year old LHP Bruce Feyereisen and a 4th round draft pick to the Toros, while the Friars will receive 20-year old CF Guy DeJulia, 23-year old 2B Manabu Araki, 26-year old LF Tony Gomez, and a 2nd round draft pick. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Friars general manager Erich Weatherholt said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. This season, Bruce Feyereisen has made 20 relief appearances, saving 5. His record is 0-2 with 16 strikeouts in 16.2 innings and a 3.24 ERA. |
