Brooklyn's Pontius Will Miss Season
Thursday, August 31st , 2084
Matt Pontius will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Brooklyn starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Pontius was injured while throwing a pitch in the Browns-Greens clash at Brown Town recently. Doctors said he has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 11-12 months.
To date this year, Pontius shows a 10-4 record, 27 starts, 138.1 innings, 124 strikeouts and a 3.71 ERA.
