Miller Tames Titans, 5-0 Thursday, September 7th , 2084 Julius Miller was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Santiago Avispas hurler tossed a 5-hit, complete game shutout against the New York Titans. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Miller. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Miller walked 3 and struck out 4 in the 5-0 victory. This season, Miller has compiled a 16-9 record with a 2.65 ERA.
