Miranda Sidelined for 10 Months Tuesday, August 20th , 2086 The Brooklyn Browns and their fans were rocked today by the news that star starting pitcher Yeniet Miranda would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Miranda was hurt in a recent game against the Maine Lobster while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. His doctors think that Miranda will miss about 10 months. So far this season, Miranda has a record of 5-2 with 59 strikeouts and 19 walks in 72 innings and a 3.12 ERA. |
