Starting Pitcher Nabs WC Rookie Award Sunday, October 1st , 2084 An outstanding September earned Taisei Yamamoto the Rookie of the Month Award in the Western Conference. When his name was penciled in to start on the Chicago lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month of September the 23-year-old Yamamoto recorded a 4-0 won-lost mark with a 2.23 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 32.1 innings. To date Yamamoto is 10-14 in 32 starts with a 4.74 ERA and has 178 strikeouts in 190 innings. |
