Chicago Starting Pitcher Rated Best Rookie Tuesday, September 1st , 2076 Chicago hurler Tommy Pepper has a nice new trophy for his mantle. The 23-year-old won the Western Conference Rookie of the Month Award for chalking up some quality stats last month. In August he threw 42.2 innings in 6 starts with 33 strikeouts, picked up 5 wins and no losses and held opponents to a .218 batting average. Checking out his stats for the season, Pepper has notched 12 wins and 7 losses in 27 starts, 3.89 ERA and struck out 159 batters in 178.1 innings. |
