Four-bagger Feast: Kamuzu Slugs 3 for St. Louis
Tuesday, September 1st , 2076
Zounes Kamuzu went yard three times in a St. Louis Gaedels victory over the Miami Cyclones at Kroger Stadium today.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the St. Louis left fielder went 4-for-5 against Miami with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Gaedels to the 15-6 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Zounes Kamuzu hit a two-run home run off Marco Salvatierra in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Shi-kai Liu in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Orlando Andrade in the 8th.
This year Kamuzu is hitting .270 with 98 hits, 39 home runs, 83 RBIs and has scored 74 runs.
