Thaxton Pounds 3 HR Sunday, September 27th , 2076 The San Diego Destroyers won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Tim Thaxton of the Seattle Arrows. He victimized the Destroyers by pounding three pitches out of Seaward Stadium to spark his club to the 11-2 win. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Thaxton told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Tim Thaxton hit a two-run home run off Michael Hunt in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Michael Hunt in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Collins in the 5th and walked in the 6th. This year Thaxton is hitting .272 with 34 home runs and 102 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .354 clip and scored 84 runs. |
