Zero Hour: Muscetta Blanks Shockwave
|
The Lamoine Shockwave were almost helpless in their 6-0 loss to the Sudbury Astronauts and hurler Albin Muscetta. Muscetta kept the Shockwave confused all game, spinning a 2-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Muscetta," Lamoine manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 22-year-old left-hander had no walks and 10 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Muscetta said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
This season, Muscetta has compiled a 7-2 mark with a 2.30 ERA.
