Injury Sidelines Chris Romer For Year Thursday, May 17th , 2085 The doctors have spoken and Chris Romer of the Hicksville Sumos didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Romer sustained his season-ending injury during the Baton Rouge Kings game yesterday at Sumos Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hicksville medical staff reported Romer had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 14 months. |
