Pigeons Brophy to Miss Year Thursday, May 24th , 2085 Disappointing news today for Garland Pigeons fans. Dan Brophy was hurt running the bases in their game against the Jersey City Sea Serpents and has a ruptured medial collateral ligament. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return, but said it was likely the injury will keep the left fielder out at least 8 months. This season, Brophy is hitting .315 with 29 hits, 2 home runs, 11 RBIs, scored 9 runs and played in 29 games. |
