Anchorage Stops Graves Hit Streak Friday, June 7th , 2086 Hicksville triumphed over Anchorage, but that was only one of the headlines from the game -- Sumos left fielder Christian Graves failed to get a hit in the 7-6 win, bringing his 21-game hitting streak to an abrupt end. "I carried the club a few times over the past couple weeks, but today they carried me," he told reporters in his postgame remarks. "No matter what else happens, it is always good to win a ballgame." This season, Graves is batting at a .279 clip with 5 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
