Red-Hot McLean Scorches Sea Serpents Sunday, July 28th , 2080 The Chesapeake Rams stopped the Jersey City Sea Serpents by a score of 7-5 at Field of the Sea Serpents, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Brandon McLean. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," McLean said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." McLean did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Sea Serpents. "Not much that I can say," offered Jersey City manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Brandon McLean singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th.
