Baton Rouge's Hiran Mederos Injured Friday, August 25th , 2084 The doctors have spoken and Hiran Mederos of the Baton Rouge Kings didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Mederos sustained his season-ending injury during the Anaheim Rage game yesterday at Anaheim Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Baton Rouge medical staff reported Mederos had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This year, Mederos has compiled a 5-5 mark with a 4.03 ERA. |
