Hit Streak for Diaz Reaches 20 Saturday, August 26th , 2084 The number just keeps getting higher. Hicksville left fielder Alex Diaz has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 2 at-bats as the Hicksville won the game, 12-1, over the Chula Vista Ghouls at Sumos Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Chula Vista manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Alex Diaz walked in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this year, Diaz has 10 home runs and a .388 batting average. |
