No Late-Season Magic Coming: Riverside Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 24th , 2080 Riverside Spinners first baseman Arlen Fennell said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2080 postseason contention. The Spinners have missed the playoffs 34 times in their 36 years as a RSL Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2077. In the last 10 seasons, the Spinners have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
