Cannons Come up Short of Playoffs Sunday, August 25th , 2080 Coming close doesn't make missing the playoffs easier for the Calgary Cannons. Club manager said it's a "tough pill to swallow" as the club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2073. In total, the Cannons have missed the playoffs 79 times in their 91-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cannons have missed the playoffs 8 times.
