AC Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award Wednesday, September 20th , 2084 Kai-xi Jia of the Anchorage Homesteads had a fine 12-8 season in 2084 and today claimed the Alpha Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award. He started 31 times, threw 180 innings while collecting 147 strikeouts and fashioned a 2.65 ERA. Jia allowed only 162 hits, 60 walks and a .241 opponents' batting average. He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 30. Mark Bursey of the Norfolk Thorns finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Harold Ruspoli of the Guadalajara Charros finished third.
