Cong Wins BC Top Pitcher Honors Friday, June 1st , 2085 Over the past month Cheng-en Cong has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Beta Conference. He proved all that and now he's been named May's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Henderson Terrors posted 4-0 mark and a 1.46 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 37 innings, permitted 26 hits and fanned 31 batters. This year, Cong has a 6-2 mark in 10 starts with a 1.97 ERA. He has given up 58 hits in 73 innings, struck out 59 and issued 16 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .217 batting average against him. |
