Super Swinger -- Tuthill Slams 5 Hits Saturday, June 30th , 2085 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Reno's 9-3 win over Marfa, second baseman Bryan Tuthill was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Mountaineers Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Tuthill said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Bryan Tuthill doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This season, Tuthill has posted a batting average of .342 with 50 hits in 146 at-bats, 8 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has also scored 19 runs, walked 10 times and compiled a .380 OBP. View Boxscore |
