SP Ruben Linares Hurt Saturday, June 30th , 2085 A blow for Ruben Linares today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 12-13 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Linares suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Honolulu Axemen are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Linares's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this season, Linares is 5-7 with 17 starts and an ERA of 4.14 with 68 strikeouts in 87 innings. |
