20-Game Hitting Streak for Szymanski Sunday, July 28th , 2080 Matt Szymanski ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Schooner Field, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Aurora Reds dropped the game, 8-1, to the Binghamton Blues. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Szymanski said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Matt Szymanski struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. Batting .336 to date, Szymanski has 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
