Henderson Starter Wins July's Pitcher Award Thursday, August 1st , 2080 The Beta Conference hitters didn't have a chance in July when the Henderson Terrors manager wrote "Koga" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Etsuro Koga held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 5-1 mark and 2.16 ERA in 6 starts. The talented Terrors star pitched 41.2 innings, fanned 37 and held opposing teams to a .217 average. For his superb mound work Koga was named the BC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This season, Koga has fashioned a 14-3 mark and 2.88 ERA in 128 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .218 against him and he has logged 119 strikeouts. |
