Injury Sidelines Jason Lingo For Year
Friday, August 2nd , 2080
The doctors have spoken and Jason Lingo of the Lexington Partisans didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lingo sustained his season-ending injury during the Pawtucket Patriots game yesterday at Field of the Partisans. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Lexington medical staff reported Lingo had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
For the year, Lingo is hitting .270 with 13 home runs. His stats include 38 RBI and 25 runs scored.
