Cyclones Santiago Gone for Year

Clyde Hill reliever Jose Santiago suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Shockwave. According to club doctors Santiago has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Although Santiago has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs.
Santiago has taken the mound for 16 relief appearances this season, nailing down 2 saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 1.80 ERA. The Clyde Hill reliever has limited opposing batters to a .233 batting average.
