Bucaneros Come up Short of Playoffs Friday, August 16th , 2086 The mood in the Tampico Bucaneros clubhouse was noticeably subdued today, as the club's fate on the season was officially sealed -- they will miss the postseason. "We put ourselves in this position," said Bucaneros starting pitcher John Gulley. "Nobody to blame but us." Tampico last appeared in the postseason in 2052. This is their 34th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 65 times in their 73-year history.
