Monge at His Best, Whips Beachcombers Wednesday, April 25th , 2085 Carlos Monge kept the Glendale Beachcombers hitters from doing much damage at Ballpark of Glendale. Glendale could only muster 1 hit and draw 3 walks against the left-handed Monge, who controlled them throughout the game. Murfreesboro won the contest, 7-0. Monge added 8 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Monge told reporters after the shutout win.
