5-for-5 Game for Poff Thursday, May 3rd , 2085 The Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts stopped the Fairbanks Goldpanners by a score of 12-0 at Bucks Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Erik Poff. The 21-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Poff said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Poff did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Goldpanners. "Not much that I can say," offered Fairbanks manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Erik Poff hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Poff has a .420 average and a .453 on-base percentage for the year.
