Ono Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, June 29th , 2085 It seemed that Trois-Rivieres first baseman Masaaki Ono could do no wrong as the Aquanauts KO'd the Golden Bears, 14-6. Ono rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Golden Bears hurlers were throwing. "I think the Aquanauts were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Corpus Christi fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Ono in the postgame press interview. Masaaki Ono singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
