He gunned down Alpha Conference hitters the whole month and claimed the Pitcher of the Month award. The Scots star piled up 5 wins and 1 loss to take the honor. The 20-year-old Taniguchi added 40 strikeouts in 38 innings and 12 walks to his season record and compiled a 1.18 ERA. Other clubs hit .162 against him.
