Plano Beats East Lansing in League Championship Thursday, August 31st , 2084 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Plano Elephants, that meant the RSL Single A League Championship trophy. The Elephants took a 7-5 victory over the East Lansing Mighty Gulls at Elephants Ballpark, winning their 18th championship after taking the series 5-4. "We've got grit," said Elephants center fielder Joe Bird, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
