Plano Wins Alpha Conference Crown Monday, August 5th , 2086 Those expecting a dogfight in the Alpha Conference this year got quite the opposite - an early, easy division crown for the Plano Elephants. "When you look at how far we are ahead, it might look like it was an easy year, but it didn't feel that way for us," said starting pitcher Barend Bartsch. "A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into putting us here." With a current record of 80-29, the Elephants can no longer be caught, cinching up a 29th division title for the franchise. The team's manager said his club will "take some time to celebrate" the division title, but then "it's right back to work." |
