Cash Crashes 3 HR Against Shreveport Friday, August 9th , 2080 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Ballpark of Mastic Beach buzzing, Mastic Beach Polecats center fielder Greg Cash blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-7, over the Shreveport Blackbirds. "Everything was clicking," Cash told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Cash shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Polecats manager said. "Greg played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Greg Cash hit a solo-shot off Wilbert Garlobo in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Wilbert Garlobo in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Miguel Cerda in the 9th. So far this year, Cash has 13 home runs and a .190 batting average. |
