Galvan on Fire: Burns Victoria with 3 HR Sunday, August 11th , 2080 Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts second baseman Raul Galvan put on a dazzling display of power at Victoria Park against the Victoria Seals. In the 8-0 Aquanauts victory, Galvan penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Victoria manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Galvan said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Raul Galvan grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off James Wilkinson in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off James Wilkinson in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Armando Montoya in the 7th. Hitting .228 to date, Galvan has 8 home runs and 22 RBIs. He has played in 95 games. |
