Harold Pond Injured, Out for Year Monday, August 12th , 2080 The season is apparently over for Harold Pond. The Hoxie Scots medical staff informed the club that the designated hitter will be out at least 5 months with a broken bone in the elbow. Pond was hurt in the game against Aguascalientes while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Thus far this season, Pond is hitting .139 with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 10 hits in 72 at-bats and has played in 28 games. |
