Wednesday, September 11th , 2080
He may have less experience than most of his RSL Single A peers, but that didn't slow Vincent Horvers down at all in 2080.
At the age of 20, the Glendale third baseman has been named the winner of the Beta Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .281 batting average and a .358 on-base percentage this year. In 112 games he piled up 117 hits, 20 doubles, 1 triple, 24 home runs, 62 RBIs and 65 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 30. Rafael Vasco of the Saint Paul Incas finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Luis Callejas of the Salt Lake Stingers finished third with 4 first place votes.
